Turbo Prop units

JETCAT SPT Turbo Prop-Propeller driven models benefit from turbine technology. High power output comes from the JetCat SPT turboprop engines. The necessary reduction takes place in 2 stages. First in a gas transmission wheel, then through a gear box.. This second shaft is mechanically independent of the rotor of the thrust engine and receives its drive power only from the kinetic energy of the exhaust gas jet. The second shaft drives directly into a gearbox designed for the high rpm produced. This reduces the speed to suitable propeller operating speeds. The electronic control unit (ECU), controls both the speed of the primary turbine speed, and the secondary shaft. The pilot can concentrate on flying, the complex engine management is fully electronic.
